We do not have funding for candidates directly for the SMSTS but if your employer is registered with CITB-ConstructionSkills they will be able to receive a daily attendance grant which is currently increased to £52.50 per person per day which ineffect would mean the course would cost your employer £183 +VAT. Whenever we carry out external training, I ask the candidates for feedback, I thought I would pass on some of the comments. ‘When I was informed that I had to attend a training course on a Saturday morning, I wasn’t best pleased, but once I was in the session, it was enjoyable and informative, I’m pleased I went’ ’A good training session, made easy to follow and understand by Gordon’ ‘I’m pleased that I was included in the course, as I now understand fully the risks and hazards that I may be working with’ ‘ Before the training I didn’t realise how dangerous asbestos could be, the information given in the training made me aware of the dangers and it was made easy to understand with the use of videos and pictures’ I would like to add my own comment. ‘The training given was very informative, presented in a way that kept the candidates interested, this in itself is an achievement as keeping lads interested can be difficult at the best of times’ ‘Sunter Ltd would not hesitate to use Seaham Safety Services for any training requirements we have. Finding a local Training Provider that can accommodate and work around our needs is a real bonus’ Once again Gordon, Thank You and I will be in touch asap after the OSHAS Audit to sort NVQ’s.
